Carla Semedo

Carla Semedo graduated in 2007 in International Relations, from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, having concluded a Masters in Development and International Cooperation in 2013, at the Higher Institute of Economics and Management of Lisbon. Born in Cape Verde, she has a great interest in the study of international cooperation policies and actions aimed at helping developing countries, mainly in the scientific and technological fields. In 2012, Carla started working in the Graduate Program Science for Development (PGCD) at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC). As of January 2014, she returned to Cape Verde to coordinate the activities of the PGCD and other IGC initiatives, namely the Lab in a Box – Cape Verde and short courses and training activities.
